Char Broil SRG Roasted Chicken Breast & Baked Potatoes

The Char Broil Big Easy Smoker Roaster & Grill, SRG, is an outdoor Infrared cooking machine!  Cooking with the SRG does not require charcoal or oil but uses propane instead.  There are no flare ups from an Infrared cooking system.  I have used time tested recipes for Baked Potatoes and Chicken for quite a while now and once you’ve been exposed to and taste tested the end products you’ll agree that the reputation of this SRG unit is well founded.

Found some great Foster Farms bone-in Chicken Breasts at my local Savemart Store.  They were on sale … buy a package and get another package free.  Most grocery stores often have unadvertised specials so it pays to pay them a visit now then just to stroll up and down the meat section.

Seasoned a large Chicken Breast under and on the skin with Annie’s Roasted Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Montreal Chicken Seasoning.  I make it a point to always season my poultry under and on the skin for that WOW factor.  The baking potatoes were scrubbed clean, dried, rubbed with EVOO and seasoned with Fagundes Seasoning.  I find that preparing potatoes in this manner keeps them from drying out and since many of us enjoy the baked potato skin it’s always nice to have them seasoned.  You can use your favorite all purpose seasoning or salt & pepper.

Roasted the Chicken and Potatoes on High with the lid Open for 1¼ to 1½ hours until the internal temperature of the Chicken Breast reached 170ºF and 210ºF for the Baked Potatoes.
