Cherry Smoked Garlic Butter Pork Sirloin Tip Roast

A Pork Sirloin Tip Roast is not a common cut that you’ll find at your local grocer or meat market but it’s readily available at your local Costco store if you have one near by.  A 4 ounce serving of Kirkland Signature (Costco) Pork Sirloin Tip Roast has only 100 Calories.  They come as a four pack, individually vacuumed sealed and weigh about 3 lbs each.  This makes them an excellent option when you’re cooking for 2. Ample Pork for a delightful dinner and leftovers.

I’ve prepared these roasts often using various spices, seasonings, marinades, temperatures, smoked (Hickory & Apple), roasted, etc.  If your search this Blog you’ll find these recipes.  But until today, I had never marinated, injected, and smoked/roasted a Pork Sirloin Tip Roast with Cheery wood BBQ pellets.

Mixed Garlic Butter all natural, very low sodium marinade with 5 cups of water.  Installed a single flavor rib and vacuumed the Spin Drum until the vacuum gauge needle read in the Green Zone.

Placed the sealed drum onto the base of the Marinade Express and spun the drum for 30 minutes.  The unique Spin method rotated the Pork Roast in and out of the marinade, opening cellular structures and deeply infusing natural flavors.  It allows you to marinade fresh meats in 30 minutes or less (versus 24 hours or more).

Injected Garlic Butter marinaded Pork Sirloin Tip Roast with 100% Apple Juice.  Rubbed the Pork Roast with Annie’s Roasted Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Head Country all purpose Championship Seasoning.  Wrapped the roast in refrigerated overnight.

Preheated the MAK 2 Star Wood Pellet BBQ Smoker-Grill with Cherry wood BBQ Pellets to 200ºF.  Allowed the Pork Sirloin Tip Roast to come to room temperature for 30 minutes before Cherry smoking it for 45 minutes.

Meanwhile I decided to bake two White Sweet Potatoes in the SRG on High with the lid Open until the Internal Temperature reached 210ºF (took an hour and 15 minutes).  First time baking these potatoes and was extremely pleased with the results.  The baking process really brought forth their sweetness but it was not overpowering.

Roasted a Shrimp Stuffed Portobello Mushroom to use as an appetizer but it easily can be the center piece of a scrumptious Entrée.

Increased the temperature to 350ºF and roasted the Tip Roast until the Internal Temperature reached 155ºF.  Rested the Pork Sirloin Tip Roast under a foil tent for 20 minutes before serving.  Sautéed fresh Asparagus, Celery, Red Onion, Red Bell Peppers, and Baby Bella Mushrooms in Annie’s Roasted Garlic EVOO while the roast was resting.

The Cherry Smoked Garlic Butter marinaded Pork Sirloin Tip Roast was amazingly tender and moist with layers of flavors.  The combination of the marinating process using the Marinade Express, the Apple Juice injection, and Head Country Championship Seasoning with Cherry smoke produced one of the best Pork Roasts we’ve eaten.
