\u00a0\u00a0 Like most people, I have fried bacon on the stove where it sits in tons of grease as it shrivels down to 50-70% of its original size.\u00a0 Not knowing any better, I never thought to do it any other way until I read on some Forums how great Bacon can be cooked on a Pellet Grill.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/miscellaneous\/MAKbacon06142011\/Bacon1.jpg?resize=480%2C360\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Preheated the <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"MAK Grills 2 Star General\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/mak-grills-2-star-general\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">MAK 2 Star<\/a> General Pellet Grill with <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Premium 100% Hickory\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/premium-100-hickory\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Hickory<\/a>\u00a0wood BBQ pellets to 350\u00baF.\u00a0 Laid out 2-lbs of Farmers Natural Applewood Smoked Center Cut Bacon from Costco on a Frog Mat.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/miscellaneous\/MAKbacon06142011\/Bacon2.jpg?resize=480%2C360\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Flipped the Bacon after 15 minutes.\u00a0 The first thing I noticed is that the Bacon was not shriveling compared to a frying pan on the stove.\u00a0 This procedure is similar to the results one would achieve in the oven at 350\u00baF with the exception that the <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"MAK Grills 2 Star General\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/mak-grills-2-star-general\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">MAK 2 Star<\/a> General Pellet Grill does not make a mess or heat up the kitchen and the MAK also adds a nice touch of <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Premium 100% Hickory\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/premium-100-hickory\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Hickory<\/a> while cooking.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/miscellaneous\/MAKbacon06142011\/Bacon3.jpg?resize=480%2C360\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>30 minutes into the cook I started pulling Bacon strips that met my desired taste.\u00a0 I have always preferred my Bacon to be a little on the chewy side rather than crisp.\u00a0 By 45 minutes, all the Bacon was done to perfection!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/miscellaneous\/MAKbacon06142011\/Bacon4.jpg?resize=480%2C360\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Having cooked this thick Bacon countless times on the stove I was impressed with the basic lack of shrinkage and the flavor was incredible.\u00a0 This Bacon actually had a WOW factor &#8230; the intense combination of flavors achieved by the original Applewood Smoking combined with the <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Premium 100% Hickory\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/premium-100-hickory\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Hickory<\/a> was intense.\u00a0 It was like someone sprinkled the Bacon with magic flavor dust &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/miscellaneous\/MAKbacon06142011\/Bacon5.jpg?resize=480%2C360\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Fried up a few eggs to compliment that scrumptious Bacon &#8230; I have now found my preferred method of fixing Bacon.\u00a0 Had a BLT for lunch just to make sure the Bacon was still good and &#8230; YES it was !!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/miscellaneous\/MAKbacon06142011\/Bacon6.jpg?resize=480%2C360\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Decided to see what all the fervor is all about concerning cooking Bacon on a Pellet Grill!
