The question is which cooking method is best? Oven, microwave, wood pellet smoker-grill, or charcoal\/propane grill? Yes there are a multitude of ways to bake a potato but I prefer another method which is foolproof. Allow the potatoes to dry prior to continuing. Fully rub each potato with roasted garlic <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Roasted Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/roasted-garlic-extra-virgin-olive-oil\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">extra virgin olive oil<\/a>. Season all sides of the baking potatoes with salt and pepper but for an increased flavor profile I recommend using <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Fagundes Seasoning\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/fagundes-seasoning\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Fagundes Seasoning<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-6222-2-1\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-6222-2-1-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_black-studio-tinymce widget_black_studio_tinymce panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"5\" ><div class=\"textwidget\"><p>Set your Char-Broil Smoker, Roaster, Grill (SRG) to HIGH and keep the lid OPEN. Place the rubbed and seasoned potatoes on racks and bake using infrared for approximately 1 \u00bd hours until the <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Thermapen Mk4 Thermometer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/thermapen-mk4-thermometer\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Internal Temperature<\/a> of the potatoes reach 210\u00baF. If the rest of the meal is not ready wrap the potatoes in foil and they will stay hot for quite a while.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-6222-3\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-6222-3-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-6222-3-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_black-studio-tinymce widget_black_studio_tinymce panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"6\" ><div class=\"textwidget\"><p>The SRG infrared baked potatoes have crisp skin and you'll find that you won't need to season the potato as the <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Fagundes Seasoning\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/fagundes-seasoning\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Fagundes Seasoning<\/a>, salt and pepper, or your seasoning of choice permeates the skin. I wish I could take credit for the ultimate infrared baked potatoes recipe but I duplicated this recipe years ago after reading it on one of the cooking forums that I frequent.
