href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/premium-100-hickory\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Hickory<\/a> BBQ wood pellets and time to smoke one Spatchcock Chicken on my <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"MAK Grills 2 Star General\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/mak-grills-2-star-general\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">MAK 2 Star<\/a> wood pellet BBQ smoker-grill as it does to do two I decided to spatchcock two chicken but added a twist.\u00a0 Since there's just the two of us and we're hard pressed to eat a whole half I chose to rub each chicken half with a different seasoning!\u00a0 Variety is the spice of life and I used my FoodSaver <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" data-index=\"5\" ><div class=\"textwidget\"><p>Spatchcocking a Chicken is a lot easier than it sounds.\u00a0 Remove the backbone using poultry shears and split the breastbone to allow the chicken to lay flat.<\/p>\n<p>I chose to season each chicken half on and under the skin with a different rub\/seasoning.\u00a0 Carefully peeled back the skin, as seen above, and trimmed off any excess fat.\u00a0 Rubbed Annie's Roasted Garlic <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Roasted Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/roasted-garlic-extra-virgin-olive-oil\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Extra Virgin Olive Oil<\/a> on\/under the skin before applying a liberal amount of <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"McCormick Montreal Chicken Seasoning\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/mccormick-montreal-chicken-seasoning\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Montreal Chicken Seasoning<\/a>, Lawry's Chicken & Poultry Rub, Tuscan Style Seasoning, or Jans Dry Rub.\u00a0 Replaced skin, wrapped the seasoned chickens in plastic and refrigerated for 4 hours.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-5592-3\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-5592-3-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-5592-3-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_black-studio-tinymce widget_black_studio_tinymce smoking your chicken Low-and-Slow for an hour at 180\u00baF - 200\u00baF before bumping your pit temperature to 375\u00baF until the <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"
