Safeway was having a sale on these huge 6 lb yardbirds.\u00a0 They were 79\u00a2\/lb for fresh Foster Farms.\u00a0 These things looked like baby turkeys \"Shocked\" Couldn’t pass this up!!\u00a0 With the rain and all I chose the easy road and popped it into the SRG.\u00a0 But not before I rubbed it with Roasted Garlic EVOO<\/a> and John Henry’s Texas Chicken Tickler.<\/p>\n

Here’s that behemoth rubbed up and ready for the SRG.\u00a0 Used an old trusty stand up roaster to catch all the drippins.\u00a0 Makes for easy cleanups<\/p>\n

Sure do love that ET-732 probe.\u00a0 Almost ready to pull.\u00a0 Getting up to 167\u00ba.\u00a0 Roasting on HIGH with the Lid OPEN.<\/p>\n

This beast was huge.\u00a0 There’s enough there for us to graze on for 3 days<\/p>\n

The money $$hot … Look at the size of just half a breast!! Used the Wok and make some Faux Fried Rice for a side dish to go with the salad.\u00a0 Faux Fried Rice is made by substituting finely chopped cauliflower for cooked rice.<\/p>\n

The John Henry’s Texas Chicken Tickler produced a milder seasoned bird than I was expecting but none the less it was extremely flavorful and moist.\u00a0 I go out of my way to rub the EVOO<\/a> and seasonings under the skin as well as on the skin.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
