It is low in\u00a0calories, averaging 42 calories per 1-cup (155\u00a0grams) serving.\u00a0 When cooked, the flesh falls away from the fruit in ribbons or strands like spaghetti.\u00a0 It can be baked, boiled, steamed, microwaved, and of course you know I&#8217;m going to see about smoking\/grilling a Spaghetti Squash on my Traeger PTG with Pacific Pellet Gourmet BBQ <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Premium 100% Hickory\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/premium-100-hickory\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Hickory<\/a> Wood Pellets.\u00a0 The PTG was just big enough to accommodate a small Spaghetti Squash and a Chicken Half!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Marinaded a Foster Farms fresh Chicken Half with Mr Yoshida&#8217;s Traditional Teriyaki Marinade &amp; Cooking Sauce for 5 hours in the refrigerator.\u00a0 Cut the small spaghetti squash in half lengthwise and scraped out the seeds and pulp as you would with any squash or pumpkin.\u00a0 The seeds can be roasted, similar to pumpkin seeds but you&#8217;d probably need a few large squash to get enough seeds.<\/p>\n<p>Preheated my Auber PID modified PTG with <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Premium 100% Hickory\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/premium-100-hickory\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Hickory<\/a> Gourmet BBQ Pellets to 350\u00baF.\u00a0 Due to the small cooking area of the portable wood pellet grill I prefer to use the Manual Mode when controlling the temperatures.\u00a0 For my unit and the existing ambient conditions I found that a 32% power setting gave me a stable 350\u00baF environment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Chicken\/PTGYoshidaHalf03072013\/YoshidaHalf1_zpscf0988d0.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Chicken\/PTGYoshidaHalf03072013\/YoshidaHalf1_zpscf0988d0.jpg?resize=160%2C120\" width=\"160\" height=\"120\" \/><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Chicken\/PTGYoshidaHalf03072013\/SpaghettiSquash1_zps04fa33ef.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Chicken\/PTGYoshidaHalf03072013\/SpaghettiSquash1_zps04fa33ef.jpg?resize=160%2C120\" width=\"160\" height=\"120\" \/><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Chicken\/PTGYoshidaHalf03072013\/SpaghettiSquash2_zps0ab13a42.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Chicken\/PTGYoshidaHalf03072013\/SpaghettiSquash2_zps0ab13a42.jpg?resize=160%2C120\" width=\"160\" height=\"120\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Took 2 hours and 10 minutes at 350\u00baF to <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Premium 100% Hickory\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/premium-100-hickory\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Hickory<\/a> smoke\/cook the spaghetti squash and 1 hour and 40 minutes for the thickest part of the chicken breast to reach and <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Thermapen Mk4 Thermometer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/thermapen-mk4-thermometer\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">internal temperature<\/a> of 170\u00baF.\u00a0 The times are given for planning purposes only &#8230;
