The first thing I noticed is that 95% of all recipes are similar with a twist here and there.\u00a0 Using a compilation of hundreds of recipes, I developed one that meets our tastes and I think you&#8217;ll enjoy.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 lb ( 2 cups ) dried Pinto Beans<\/li>\n<li>6 cups of water<\/li>\n<li>Large Onion<\/li>\n<li>8 tsp Knorr Chicken Bouillon<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp Pepper<\/li>\n<li>1\u00bd tsp Oregano<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp Veron&#8217;s Cajun Seasoning<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp Chili Powder<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp Minced Garlic ( \u00bd tsp = 1 clove )<\/li>\n<li>1 TBSP <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Roasted Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/roasted-garlic-extra-virgin-olive-oil\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Extra Virgin Olive Oil<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Instructions<\/strong><\/span>:<\/p>\n<p>Sort and rinse the beans.\u00a0 Soak Pinto Beans overnight in cold water or use the &#8216;Fast Soak Method&#8217; (Boil beans in 10 cups of water for 3 minutes, turn off burner, cover, and let stand for 2 plus hours).\u00a0 Rinse Pinto Beans and discard the soaking water.<\/p>\n<p>Mix all ingredients in a 5 quart Enameled Dutch Oven.\u00a0 Slowly bring to a rolling boil using a Heat Diffuser on the Camp Chef 2 Burner Explorer.\u00a0 Once the Pinto Beans have come to a rolling boil cover the Enameled Dutch Oven and reduce to Medium-Low or Low.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Camp%20Chef\/PintoBeans02272013\/PintoBeans1_zps9cb0871f.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Camp%20Chef\/PintoBeans02272013\/PintoBeans1_zps9cb0871f.jpg?resize=250%2C188\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Camp%20Chef\/PintoBeans02272013\/PintoBeans2_zpsba93777d.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Camp%20Chef\/PintoBeans02272013\/PintoBeans2_zpsba93777d.jpg?resize=250%2C188\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Simmer the Pinto Beans for 1\u00bd to 3 hours until the Beans are tender.\u00a0 Like many beans, Pinto Beans are like a sponge and as such are very influenced by the spices and ingredients that are used.\u00a0 For all extended purposes, this Pinto Bean recipe can be classified as mild in some circles.\u00a0 Feel free to experiment.\u00a0 Beans are cheap and they all taste wonderful &#8230;
