My wife, myself, the refrigerator, and the freezer!!<\/p>\n<p>The menu consisted of baked Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes and center cut Pork Chops marinaded with Mr Yoshida&#8217;s Traditional Teriyaki Marinade &amp; Cooking Sauce.<!--more--><br \/>\nMarinaded Pork Loin Center Cut Pork Chops overnight using Mr Yoshida&#8217;s Traditional Teriyaki Marinade that I found at Sam&#8217;s Club.\u00a0 Scalloped potatoes are easier to make then most people think.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve used a basic recipe I read in a Betty Crocker Cook Book 40 years ago &#8230; Quick and Easy.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/Pork\/PTGPorkChops12182012\/Chop1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/Pork\/PTGPorkChops12182012\/Chop1.jpg?resize=250%2C188\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/Pork\/PTGPorkChops12182012\/Chop3.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/Pork\/PTGPorkChops12182012\/Chop3.jpg?resize=250%2C188\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Basic Scalloped Potatoes Recipe:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Spray an 8&#8243; x 4&#8243; x 3&#8243; Aluminum Loaf Pan with PAM<\/li>\n<li>Layer of sliced potatoes<\/li>\n<li>Layer of sliced Onions<\/li>\n<li>Sprinkle potatoes &amp; onions with flour, salt, pepper, granulated garlic, and pads of butter<\/li>\n<li>Layer of shredded cheese<\/li>\n<li>Layer of sliced potatoes<\/li>\n<li>Add milk until it reaches the layer of flour<\/li>\n<li>Season the top with salt, pepper, granulated garlic, and pads of butter<\/li>\n<li>Cover tightly with foil<\/li>\n<li>Bake at 350\u00baF in the PTG, oven, or any other wood pellet smoker-grill until the spuds are tender.\u00a0 Usually takes around 1 to 1\u00bd hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preheated the Traeger PTG to 350\u00baF using Pacific Pellet <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"CookinPellets Apple Mash\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/cookinpellets-apple-mash\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Apple<\/a> wood pellets.\u00a0 Placed the Scalloped Potatoes in the PTG for an hour.\u00a0 At this point I started cooking the marinaded Pork Chops.\u00a0 Cooked the Pork Chops for 10 minutes on each side.\u00a0 Served the marinaded Pork Chops, Scalloped Potatoes with a side of steamed Broccoli.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/Pork\/PTGPorkChops12182012\/Chop5.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/Pork\/PTGPorkChops12182012\/Chop5.jpg?resize=250%2C188\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/Pork\/PTGPorkChops12182012\/Chop8.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/Pork\/PTGPorkChops12182012\/Chop8.jpg?resize=250%2C188\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Traeger PTG is a perfect size and weight for use on the road and at home for small meals.\u00a0 I just need to work out the controller issues with cooking at lower temperatures.\u00a0 Low-and-Slow is what I prefer to use cause of the wonderful results it produces.\u00a0 More tests to follow.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/Pork\/PTGPorkChops12182012\/Chop2.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/Pork\/PTGPorkChops12182012\/Chop2.jpg?resize=250%2C188\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/Pork\/PTGPorkChops12182012\/Chop9.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/Pork\/PTGPorkChops12182012\/Chop9.jpg?resize=250%2C188\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For my second test of my new Portable Traeger Grill (PTG) I chose to test it&#8217;s performance at a temperature of 350\u00baF.\u00a0 Working on developing a technique to cook for two rather than the four that I&#8217;ve been cooking for &hellip;
