We&#8217;re not talking about the USS Growler, a small iceberg, a four-wheeled hansom cab from England, a sexual offender or any of the other slang phrases associated with the word \u2013 there are many. We&#8217;re talking about that which carries fresh beer from a brewery to your house.\u00a0 Growlers are filled straight from the tap, sealed with a twist-cap.\u00a0 Almost all brewpubs sell growlers these days, as do many breweries. And regardless of its true origin the growler is a great way to take home some fresh brew from a local brewery or brewpub. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the growler and the breast rubbed with a little Roasted Garlic <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Roasted Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/roasted-garlic-extra-virgin-olive-oil\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">EVOO<\/a> and some spice<br \/>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0pt none;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/TBreast10152010\/growler1.jpg?resize=480%2C375\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"375\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>PID set to 250\u00ba, vent wide open, 3 hours of smoke (1 to 1 pecan\/<a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"CookinPellets Apple Mash\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/cookinpellets-apple-mash\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">apple<\/a>)<br \/>\nTurkey breast was only 6.4 lbs and took 3 hours to reach IT of 162\u00ba<br \/>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0pt none;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/TBreast10152010\/growler2.jpg?resize=480%2C375\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"375\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Since it only took 3 hours, my bad, wound up with a 3 hour FTC instead of my preferred 1.5 to 2 hours.<br \/>\nHere&#8217;s the growler minus a couple of pints and the breast after FTC.<br \/>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0pt none;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/TBreast10152010\/growler3.jpg?resize=480%2C375\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"375\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The $$$$ shot &#8230;
