results and flavor profiles.\u00a0 Pork Butts, like Briskets, will go into a stall when the meat reaches an <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Thermapen Mk4 Thermometer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/thermapen-mk4-thermometer\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Internal Temperature<\/a> of 155-170\u00baF.\u00a0 Wrapping the Butts in foil accelerates your cooking process through the stall!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Two 9 lb Cryovac Boneless Pork Butts from Cash &amp; Carry @ $1.54\/lb.\u00a0 Trimmed Fat Cap down to \u00bc inch, pockets of fat, and other unsightly bits and pieces.<\/p>\n<p><a \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As you can see, removal of the bone by the butcher\/meat processing facility tends to leave the Butt in a less than firm state.\u00a0 Used High Temp Silicone <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Silicone Hot Cooking Bands\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/silicone-hot-cooking-bands\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Cooking Bands<\/a> to tie the loose ends together.\u00a0 Wrapped the Pork Butts with Plastic and threw into the fridge for 16 hours.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/Pork\/18lbTurboPulledPork09062012\/TurboPulled5.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Premium 100% Hickory\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/premium-100-hickory\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Hickory<\/a> wood BBQ pellets.\u00a0 Smoked the Pork Butts at 225\u00baF for 2 hours.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/Pork\/18lbTurboPulledPork09062012\/TurboPulled10.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"MAK Grills 2 Star General\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/mak-grills-2-star-general\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">MAK 2 Star<\/a> to 375\u00baF until the <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Thermapen Mk4 Thermometer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/thermapen-mk4-thermometer\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Internal Temperature<\/a> (IT) reached 160\u00baF.\u00a0 Removed the Butts, wrapped in double foil &#8211; keeping the meat probes in place &#8211; and returned to the 375\u00baF <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"MAK Grills 2 Star General\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/mak-grills-2-star-general\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">MAK 2 Star<\/a> until the Pork Butts reached an IT of 200\u00baF &#8230; Foil, Towel, Cooler (FTC) for 4 hours before serving.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/Pork\/18lbTurboPulledPork09062012\/TurboPulled12.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/BBQ%20Smoke\/Pork\/18lbTurboPulledPork09062012\/TurboPulled12.jpg?resize=250%2C188\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Pulled Pork Butts turned out great and I didn&#8217;t hear any complaints.\u00a0 Low-and-Slow is the preferred method but in a pinch the Turbo method will do just fine!!!<\/p>\n<p>Took 4\u00bd hours to go from an IT of 42\u00baF to 200\u00baF.\u00a0 Add 4 hour for the FTC and you have delicious Pulled Pork in under 9 hours.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Removed Pork Butts from refrigerator at 1:30 am and turned on <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"MAK Grills 2 Star General\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/mak-grills-2-star-general\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">MAK 2 Star<\/a> to 225\u00baF to preheat.\u00a0 Allow Butts to slowly come to room temperature before cooking<\/li>\n<li>IN @ 2 am &#8230; IT @ 42\u00baF &#8230; 2 hours of <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Premium 100% Hickory\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/premium-100-hickory\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Hickory<\/a> Smoke<\/li>\n<li>AT 4 am &#8230; IT @ 105\u00baF &#8230; Bump temperature to 375\u00baF until IT reaches 160\u00baF<\/li>\n<li>At 5 am &#8230; IT @ 162\u00baF &#8230; Remove Butts and double wrap in foil &#8230; Return to <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"MAK Grills 2 Star General\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/mak-grills-2-star-general\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">MAK 2 Star<\/a><\/li>\n<li>OUT @ 6:30 am &#8230; IT @ 202\u00baF<\/li>\n<li>FTC for 4 hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>** NOTE ** :\u00a0 ALWAYS cook to <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Thermapen Mk4 Thermometer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/thermapen-mk4-thermometer\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Internal Temperature<\/a>.\u00a0 Do not rely on
