The Chicken Half was seasoned with Garlic, Salt, Orange Citrus Flavor, Paprika, Spices, Onion Powder, and Artificially Colored.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>For this test I used my Infrared Char-Broil &#8220;The Big Easy\u00ae Smoker, Roaster &amp; Grill&#8221; (SRG).\u00a0 I chose to roast on HIGH with the Lid OPEN and opted to use my Maverick ET-732 to monitor the Chicken Temperature (IT) and as the photo above shows, the SRG chamber temperature next to the chicken half.\u00a0 The chamber temperature oscillated from 300\u00ba to 310\u00ba F range.\u00a0 Took an hour and 15 minutes for the chicken breast to reach 167\u00baF.\u00a0 Verified the breast and leg\/thigh (180\u00ba+) temps with a Thermopen probe.\u00a0 Rested the Roasted Half Chicken under a foil tent for 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Chicken\/SRGHalfPreseasoned12182011\/HalfPreseasoned2.jpg?resize=480%2C360\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Prepared some Twice-Baked Potatoes for a side dish and baked them for 35 minutes in a 350\u00baF oven.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Chicken\/SRGHalfPreseasoned12182011\/HalfPreseasoned3.jpg?resize=480%2C360\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Threw together a simple salad &#8230;\u00a0 Ready to serve!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Chicken\/SRGHalfPreseasoned12182011\/HalfPreseasoned5.jpg?resize=480%2C360\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Money $Shot$ &#8230; An Infrared roasted Chicken Breast and a Twice-Baked Potato accompanied by a nice salad &#8230; Bon App\u00e9tit<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Chicken\/SRGHalfPreseasoned12182011\/HalfPreseasoned6.jpg?resize=480%2C640\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The SRG is a poultry cooking machine and as usual performed as advertised.\u00a0 The Chicken turned out very moist and tender with a nice crispy skin. \u00a0 I would have preferred a heavier seasoned chicken but overall this roasted chicken was delectable and I think consumers with limited time will enjoy this product.\u00a0 I can always add my own spices if I want a heavier seasoned chicken.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was asked my opinion on a Pre Seasoned Chicken Half and some Leg Quarters that may hit local markets early next year.
