was a 20\u00a2 difference &#8230; Outrageous &#8230; How hard is it to cut a Chicken in Half?\u00a0 Not very!\u00a0\u00a0 Saved me almost a $1 on this 4.6lb Foster Farms Fresh Chicken.\u00a0 Removed the backbone with Poultry Sheers and voil\u00e1 &#8211; you have two Chicken Halves.\u00a0 Took less than 2 minutes.\u00a0 Saved the Chicken Liver and Heart to saut\u00e9 for a snack.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Used 1\u00bd Cups of Mr Yoshidas Marinade &amp; Cooking Sauce to 3 cups of water in the Marinade Express for 30 minutes to marinade the Chicken halves.\u00a0 Rested the Chicken in the fridge for 2 hours to help intensify the flavor.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Chicken\/MAKhalfChicken10032011\/HalfChicken1-1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/mak-grills-2-star-general\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">MAK 2 Star<\/a> Wood Pellet BBQ Smoker-Grill to 180\u00baF using <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Premium 100% Hickory\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/premium-100-hickory\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Hickory<\/a> wood BBQ pellets.\u00a0 Setpoint to SMOKE and placed the Chicken Halves in the MAK for 2 hours of smoke before bumping the temperature up to 325\u00baF.\u00a0 Decided to smoke\/cook the Chicken halves skin side up and down to see the results.<\/p>\n<p>Coated Potato Wedges with Annie&#8217;s Roasted Garlic <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Roasted Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/roasted-garlic-extra-virgin-olive-oil\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">EVOO<\/a>, Garlic Salt, Pepper, and Johnny&#8217;s Garlic Spread Seasoning to roast in the Char-Broil The Big Easy Infrared Smoker, Roaster and Grill (SRG).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Chicken\/MAKhalfChicken10032011\/HalfChicken3.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After smoking the Chicken halves for 2 hours with <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Premium 100% Hickory\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/premium-100-hickory\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Hickory<\/a> wood BBQ pellets I bumped the <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"MAK Grills 2 Star General\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/mak-grills-2-star-general\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">MAK 2 Star<\/a> temperature to 325\u00baF until the <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Thermapen Mk4 Thermometer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/thermapen-mk4-thermometer\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Internal Temperature<\/a> reached 170\u00baF at the thickest part of the breast.\u00a0 Placed the Potato Wedges in the SRG on HIGH with the lid Open for an hour and 10 minutes.\u00a0 You can see the SRG in the background to the left.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Chicken\/MAKhalfChicken10032011\/HalfChicken5.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Chicken\/MAKhalfChicken10032011\/HalfChicken5.jpg?resize=250%2C188\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Skin Up vs Skin Down &#8230;\u00a0 Didn&#8217;t find any real differences.\u00a0 Both smoked\/cooked at the same rate and turned out golden brown and scrumptious!\u00a0 Rested the Chicken under a foil tent for 15 minutes before serving.<\/p>\n<p>The Infrared SRG not only cooks Poultry to perfection but does a great job on a multitude of other items which include Baked and Wedge Potatoes.\u00a0 The SRG didn&#8217;t disappoint and the Potato Wedges were a hit.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Chicken\/MAKhalfChicken10032011\/HalfChicken7.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Chicken\/MAKhalfChicken10032011\/HalfChicken9.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\"
