Corned Beef Brisket"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nothing beats a nice Boiled Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner and most people enjoy the feast once a year on St Patrick&#8217;s Day.\u00a0 But if you love Corned Beef as much as I do then you have one at least every two months.\u00a0 Being the Dog Days of August I decided to keep the heat out of the kitchen by smoking the Corned Beef in the <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"MAK Grills 2 Star General\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/mak-grills-2-star-general\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">MAK 2 Star<\/a> General Wood Pellet Smoker-Grill and fixing the trimmings on the Camp Chef 3 Burner Stove.<\/p>\n<p>Rinsed the 4\u00bd lb Corned Beef Flat Cut Brisket using cold water for a few minutes.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Beef\/MAKCornedBeef08102011\/MAKCornedBeef1.jpg?resize=480%2C360\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Preheated the <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"MAK Grills 2 Star General\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/mak-grills-2-star-general\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">MAK 2 Star<\/a> General Pellet Smoker-Grill to 225\u00baF with <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Premium 100% Hickory\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/premium-100-hickory\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Hickory<\/a>\u00a0wood BBQ pellets and smoked for 5\u00bd hours.\u00a0 My <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"MAK Grills 2 Star General\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/mak-grills-2-star-general\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">MAK 2 Star<\/a> SMOKE setting ranges around 180\u00baF and provides a copious amount of smoke flavor but have also had great results at the 225\u00baF setting when cooking Pork Butts and Briskets for long periods of time.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Beef\/MAKCornedBeef08102011\/MAKCornedBeef3.jpg?resize=480%2C360\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After 5\u00bd hours the <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Thermapen Mk4 Thermometer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/thermapen-mk4-thermometer\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Internal Temperature<\/a> (IT) was 158\u00baF and I bumped the temperature to 250\u00baF.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Beef\/MAKCornedBeef08102011\/MAKCornedBeef4.jpg?resize=480%2C360\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>3\u00bd hours later, 9 hours total, the IT reached 185\u00baF.\u00a0 Pulled the <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Premium 100% Hickory\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/premium-100-hickory\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Hickory<\/a> Smoked Corned Beef and rested under a foil tent for 20 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Beef\/MAKCornedBeef08102011\/MAKCornedBeef5.jpg?resize=480%2C360\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While the Corned Beef was resting, I used my Camp Chef 3 Burner Stove to steam potatoes and saut\u00e9 Cabbage, Mushrooms, and Onions.\u00a0 For a traditional Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner I would boil the Cabbage in the same pot that the Corned Beef was simmered for hours.\u00a0 Not having that luxury,\u00a0 I improvised and used to Wok.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Beef\/MAKCornedBeef08102011\/MAKCornedBeef6.jpg?resize=480%2C360\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>No bark was formed on the Corned Beef Brisket since I did not apply any rub.\u00a0 You can see a thin layer that formed on the Brisket.\u00a0 The Smoked Corned Beef Brisket turned out incredible!!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Beef\/MAKCornedBeef08102011\/MAKCornedBeef7.jpg?resize=480%2C360\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Money $Shot$ &#8230; A few slices of delectable <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Premium 100% Hickory\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/premium-100-hickory\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Hickory<\/a> Smoked Corned Beef Brisket served with saut\u00e9ed Cabbage\/Mushroom\/Onions, steamed potatoes, and a side of Cantaloupe Melon.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i854.photobucket.com\/albums\/ab105\/papa_peter\/Beef\/MAKCornedBeef08102011\/MAKCornedBeef8.jpg?resize=480%2C360\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <a class=\"thirstylink\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Premium 100% Hickory\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smokinpetebbq.com\/wordpress\/recommends\/premium-100-hickory\/\" data-shortcode=\"true\">Hickory<\/a> Smoked Corned Beef Flat Cut Brisket turned out wonderful.\u00a0 The meat was tender and moist with a pleasing smoke flavor.\u00a0 Next time I may take the Corned Beef Brisket to 195-200\u00baF and FTC for 2 hours to gauge the results.\u00a0 None the less, it&#8217;s a luscious way to prepare and serve Corned
